Concord NH- Concord Lions Club President Bob Bieber announced today that Airgas Race Fever '08 is ready to go on Thursday night, June 26 from 5PM on, in Beautiful DOWNTOWN Concord. We have Saturday night heros from tracks all over the state joining us for autographs and talking with the fans. This year SPRINT is bringing their Racing Experience SIMULATOR for all to enjoy courtesy of Mobile On the Road and NATIONWIDE is bringing their Driving While Distracted SIMULATOR to the event along with Sprint and Nationwide driver Scott Wimmer and Racing Limos will be on hand with a couple of their race themed limos.

Event chairman, Tom Geno announced today that Ricky Carmichael (G.O.A.T.) the 5-time world moto-cross champion will be joining the Lions for the event as will Camping World Series Driver Jamie Hayes. Mike Harmon (Nationwide Driver) will be bringing The Whiskey Girls along with him for autographs and talk also. More drivers are to be announced later.

Most of the tracks in NH are coming with their Saturday Night Heroes and their cars. These cars are the real deal, not show cars. They will be showing the scars of battle on the track, and the drivers will be more than happy to sign autographs and talk with their fans.

A special PIT CREW CHALLENGE will be held this year for the kids. They will be going over the wall and taking the lug nuts off , then switching tires and putting the lug nuts back on and tighten. It's great fun watching the determination on their faces as they pick up the air guns which weigh as much as some of the kids, and go over the wall . All the kids will get special AIRGAS Race Fever t-shirts and trophies. Ages 2-13 may compete. Roger Proulx of Nassau Broadcasting will be holding Tricycle Races for the Kids as well and will be giving prizes away to lucky fans.

In addition to Race Cars. Geno said he is welcoming anything with a motor that races, and has in fact a Racing Hydroplane driven by Lon Ashton coming, as well as snowmobiles that race on ice ovals, and grass dragsters. Also coming is a wild fuel burning asphalt snomobile dragster, and antique snowmobiles. The popular R/C and SLOT CARS will also be racing here tonight. A Radical '57 Chevy dragster is being presented by AIRGAS as well

New this year is the CRUISE IN. The Lone Wolf car club is bringing in hot rods, customs. muscle cars and antiques from all over New England, so bring YOUR special car and join the fun.

2 Rock bands will play ALL Night. Granite Rock is brought in by the NH National Guard and will play from 6-7:30. The local group, STRAY DOG BAND will be playing from 8: till close As usual the food vendors and memorabilia vendors will be here also. There is no charge for the event, so bring the whole family and enjoy a fun filled night for ALL AGES
